Microsoft Anna

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Microsoft Anna is the default Text To Speech voice used in Windows Vista, the new version of Microsoft Windows. Microsoft Anna is the replacement for Microsoft Sam which was the default voice in Windows XP. Microsoft Anna is obviously no longer a male voice, and is now a female voice. The Text To Speech engine used by Microsoft Anna is considerably improved over the engine used in Microsoft Sam (the SAPI 5 TTS engine) and should result in a more natural sounding voice.
