The frogs of the genus Microhyla are small. They can be identified by the typical Arrow shaped mark on their dorsal side. They are generally of Yellowish color with dark brown patch.

This frogis widely distributed in the Western Ghats. This frog is found south-West of Pune.

This species is found in Moist deciduous forest, Semi-evergreen forest and Evergreen forest.

[edit] Microhabitat

They are generally found on the banks of a lake or a pond. They are found near the houses too.
