Lt.Gen. Michitaro Komatsubara (1885-1940) was the Imperial Japanese Army commander in the Nomonhan Incident.

Following his defeat at Nomonhan, General Komatsubara was replaced as commander of the IJA 23d Division in November 1939. He retired the following January, and died on 6th October 1940.
