Michie Mee

Michie Mee (born Michelle McCullock) is a Canadian rapper and actor of Jamaican descent.
In 1987, Michie Mee was featured on the all-Canadian hip hop compilation Break'n Out which was produced by KRS-One and Scott La Rock of Boogie Down Productions. She was the first Canadian rapper to sign a deal with an American record label; First Priority/Atlantic in 1988. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with artists such as MC Lyte, Shabba Ranks, Dream Warriors and Patra. In addition to her solo career, she has been a vocalist for the alternative rock band Raggadeath, who had a Canadian chart hit in 1995 with "One Life".
As an actor, she was featured in the CBC television series Drop the Beat. She also had movie roles in My Baby's Daddy and In Too Deep.

- In 2003, Deejay Ra launched a series of radio PSA's to launch the first Canadian 'Hip-Hop Appreciation Week' with the support of the National Film Board of Canada, aimed at stronger industry recognition of Canadian hip hop founders Michelle 'Michie Mee' McCullock and Wes 'Maestro' Williams.
