From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The MIchelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill is an annual golf tournament, originating in 2003, for professional female golfers which takes place every May on the LPGA Tour. The final round is traditionally played on Mother's Day.

The event, held at the Kingsmill Resort & Spa just outside Williamsburg, Virginia, has one of the highest purses of all tournaments on the LPGA Tour. For this and other reasons it attracts a very competitive field.

It is a 4-day, 72-hole tournament is played on the 6,306 yard River Course at Kingsmill.

The tournament is sponsored by Michelob ULTRA beer, and its parent company Anheuser-Busch. In 2005, Anheuser-Busch donated US$290,250 to 30 different charities following the event.

The next tournament will be held from May 7 through May 13, 2007.
