Michelle Thomas (played by Nancy Stafford) was a fictional character on the television show Matlock. She assisted Ben Matlock for several years before moving on.

As part of her requirement for physical education at St. Claire's, Michelle took baseball. She did not like it, otherwise she would have done better (The Umpire).

Michelle Thomas met Ben Matlock while in England, who hired her, and shortly thereafter moved to Atlanta to assist Matlock in his legal practice (The Billionaire). She worked with him for five years before leaving his office.

- Michelle hit a triple once in baseball. If she liked baseball, she said she would have hit a home run (The Umpire).
- Michelle Thomas can speak French (The Reunion).
- Nancy Stafford portrayed Caryn Nelson/Caroline Nathan in the first season episode The Seduction.
