Michelle Reeves

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michelle A. Reeves (1984 - 2004) is a person best known for being killed by a 7' 11'' alligator on September 26, 2004 while swimming in a retention pond at Lee Memorial Health Park in Fort Myers, Florida.[1][2] Her right arm was bitten off. Alligator trapper John French said that he had to pull Reeves' body parts out of the alligator[3]. Michelle Reeves was swimming by herself around 2:00AM - 4:00AM when she was attacked. She was the 9th youngest person to die of an alligator attack since the 1950s and only the 15th person since the 1950s to die of an alligator attack (because fatal alligator attacks are extremely rare). Before being killed at the age of 20, Michelle Reeves was a resident of Roswell, Georgia and student at Georgia State University.[4]
