Michael James Wuertz (Würtz) (born December 15, 1978 in Austin, Minnesota) is a right-handed relief pitcher for the Chicago Cubs. He made his major league debut on April 5, 2004 against the Cincinnati Reds on opening day. He is one of a handful of Chicago Cubs potential closers of the future though he is not closing for the Cubs at the moment.
