Michael Wright is a former star forward at the University of Arizona. He started for the Wildcats as a power forward in the 2001 NCAA Division I championship against the Duke Blue Devils. Having athletic skill, but undersized at 6'7" for a power forward, and too slow to be a small forward, he dropped to the second round of the NBA Draft where he was drafted by the New York Knicks.
