Michael Ingo Joachim Weikath is the guitarist of the Power metal band called Helloween. He was born on August 7, 1962 in Hamburg, Germany. His name is a reference for the term melodic metal or power metal, since he contributed much to the innovations that occurred in the heavy metal sound in the beginning of the 1980s.

In 1984 the band had signed a deal with Noise Records and recorded two songs for a Noise compilation record called Death Metal. In this album, he was responsible for the track "Oernst Of Life".
Some other songs he has composed are "Dr. Stein", "Keeper of the Seven Keys", "A Tale That Wasn't Right", "How Many Tears", "Eagle Fly Free", "Windmill", "Heavy Metal Hamsters", "Secret Alibi", "Power", "Kings Will be Kings", "I can", "Salvation", "Do You Feel Good", "Get it up", and "Born on Judgment Day".
