Michael Weatherly, Jr. (born July 8, 1968) is an American actor.

[edit] Early life

Weatherly was born in New York City and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut by wealthy parents, Patricia and Michael Weatherly, Sr. He has - according to him - eleven siblings, though he only has one full brother (same parents as he), the others are all halfs and steps as both of his parents are married for the third time. His father became weathly from importing Swiss Army Knives, which is mentioned in an episode of "NCIS". He graduated from Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts in 1986.

He starred in Dark Angel for the two seasons it was on the air. He was engaged to his co-star Jessica Alba for much of the filming (a fact jokingly refererenced to by his character in NCIS). He also starred in Significant Others on TV with Jennifer Garner before she became a big name star, but it only lasted for 6 episodes.

He currently stars as Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo on NCIS, starring Mark Harmon.

Formerly married to Amelia Heinle (who was his co-star in Loving and The City) (1995–1997); they had 1 son, August Weatherly, before they divorced.

Weatherly was engaged to his Dark Angel co-star Jessica Alba, but it was called off.[1]
