Michael Watford

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michael Watford is an African American dance music singer who was born in Virginia and raised in New Jersey. His music is examplarary of the fact that the best dance music is most often vocal with warm, funky, deep grooved music. Much like the other big voiced belters, Watford never fades into or behind a backing track. He rules a song with his lively and passionate vocal delivery. It is a shame he is not better known by Pop and Urban music consumers because he is a stronger and more memorable artist than the average male singer. He placed four singles on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the mid-nineties, including "So Into You," which hit #1 in 1994. Michael Watford remains a favourite of House music lovers into the heavily soul influenced "deep" House sound also known as Garage.
