Michael Troughton

Michael Troughton (born 2 March 1955 in Hampstead, London) is an English actor. He is from an acting family; his father was Patrick Troughton of Doctor Who fame, his brother David is also an actor.

He has appeared in many film and television roles, most notably as Sir Piers Fletcher-Dervish in The New Statesman from 1987 to 1992. Troughton also starred in the first series of Backs to the Land.

Troughton's more recent appearences, include playing the shrink in Cold Feet and appearing in the film Enigma.

He is now a drama teacher at Woodbridge School
