Michael Tang

Michael Tang (born 1996) is a youth bowler in San Francisco, California.
On March 11, 2006, Tang became the youngest person to bowl a perfect game at an event sanctioned by the United States Bowling Congress. Tang was 10 years, three months, and 16 days old when he set the record, making him three months younger than the previous record-holder, Josey LaRocco of Louisville, Kentucky. LaRocco had held the record since February 14, 1998.[1]
Tang's perfect game came during play at Sea Bowl in the Daly City All Star Scratch Trios League in Pacifica, California. In two prior games that day, he had earned scores of 163 and 193, and his previous career high was a 234, scored in 2005.[1] Tang began bowling at the age of six, but he does not foresee a career in the sport, hoping instead to become a professional golfer.[2]
Michael's record was recently broken by Chaz Dennis from Columbus, Ohio who bowled his perfect game in his local 14-17 year old Junior league at Hilcrest Lanes in December 2006. Chaz was aged 10 years, 2 months, 27 days at the time, less than a month younger than Michael.
