Michael Starke (born Liverpool, UK on 3 November 1957), is a British actor best known previously, for his role as Thomas Sinbad Sweeney in the popular soap, Brookside, which he played for 16 years (1984-2000).

Starke now appears in the ITV1 Sunday night drama, The Royal as Kenneth Hopkirk. he also appeared in the Liverpool set film The 51st State as Arthur a policeman.

He appeared in Pantomime in Cinderella in Southport Christmas 2005, alongside Stuart Wade from Emmerdale, and in Aladdin during Christmas 2006 along with comedian Syd Little in York.

In 2007 he joined the cast of Coronation Street, as the head of the new family, the Mortons as Jerry Morton.
