Michael S. Pope, (Born in Manhattan, New York) is an experimental filmmaker. He is the director, screenwriter, editor, actor and composer for his experimental epic Neovoxer. Neovoxer is a feature-length, non-dialogue film with music and sound effects performed live.[1] The screenings are events in their own right often including preshow performances by body painted living statues, musicians and installations of art work. The musical ensemble has included many musicians in its different incarnations including Brian Viglione of the Dresden Dolls. The film features performance by Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls.[2]

Michael Pope is probably best known for his work with the Dresden Dolls. He is director, cinematographer and editor for their music videos: "Girl Anachronism", "Coin-Operated Boy", "Sing" and, the forthcoming, "Backstabber".
