Michael Patrick O'Connor is a left-handed pitcher for the Washington Nationals. He was born in Dallas, Texas and went to George Washington University. His MLB Debut was April 27, 2006 for the Washington Nationals against the St. Louis Cardinals. He lost that game. He went five innings, gave up 3 runs on 3 hits, struck out two and walked four. None of his runs were earned. He was called up from Triple-A New Orleans replacing injured John Patterson. On July 6, he was optioned back to Triple-A New Orleans. On July 17, he was recalled in place of John Patterson who was put back on to the disabled list. As of March 26, 2007 O'Connor was assigned a spot on the Nationals' rotation.
