Michael Noonan (writer)

Michael John Noonan (19 September 1921 in Sumner, near Christchurch, New Zealand — 4 March 2000 in Brisbane) was an Australian writer. He is the author of the novel The December Boys, which is now a film starring Daniel Radcliffe and Teresa Palmer, amd is scheduled for release in 2007. Michael Noonan also wrote other books including, Mackenzie's Boots, The Flying Doctor Series, Patchwork Hero, Air Taxi,A Different Drummer, Magwitch,The Sun Is God,The Land Of the Talking Trees and his autobiography; In With the Tide. The beach, his favourite place, inspired most of his books. He spents his last years of his life living in Queensland, Australia.
