Michael M. Wood

Michael Melville Wood was confirmed as United States ambassador to Sweden by the U.S. Senate on May 26, 2006, after being nominated by George W. Bush on May 1.[1] He was sworn in on June 5, 2006.
Wood is the co-founder and former CEO of Hanley Wood, LLC. He stepped down as CEO after the company was sold to JPMorgan Partners, however he kept a seat on the Hanley Wood board. [2]
On June 16, 2005, Wood was the recipient of the Top Executive of the Year Award from Media Business magazine.[3]
Wood attended Yale University where he received his bachelor's degree.[4] He and his wife, Judy have two children.
