Michael Lee (musician)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michael Lee (b. 19 November 1969) is a drummer who toured with and former Led Zeppelin musicians Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. During these tours they did not use the name 'Led Zeppelin', even though they performed Zeppelin songs written by Plant and Page. Many see Michael Lee as an indirect replacement for the original Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. Like Bonham, Michael Lee affectionates large drum sizes, something he attributes to him being very tall. His bass drum is 28" wide, and his snare drum is a brass 14"x14" shell.

He also played as a drummer with Little Angels and The Cult , and Echo & The Bunnymen.

Lee currently plays with the reformed version of Thin Lizzy.
