Michael Lee (academic)

Lee Hiu Hong Michael (Michael H. Lee) teaches in the Department of History of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and pursues his PhD degree in the Faculty of Education of the University of Hong Kong. His research covers higher education policy, comparative education, sociology of education, Singapore studies, Hong Kong studies, and Southeast Asian history. His journal articles, book chapters and newspaper articles were published in Hong Kong, Macao, Mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, and the United States. He was invited to deliver seminars at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University in Australia in 2002, the National Chiao-Tung University and the National Chi-Nan University in Taiwan in 2003, as well as the University of Bristol and the Institute of Education of the University of London in the United Kingdom in 2003. Before joining the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004, he had worked in a number of higher education institutions in Hong Kong, including the City University of Hong Kong, the University of Hong Kong, the Open University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Institute of Education.
