Michael Jordan (born April 7, 1986 in Enfield, London) is an English football goalkeeper. He is currently on trial at Chesterfield, having formerly been at Arsenal.
He signed as a professional on November 1, 2004 after making impressive performances for the youth team. However, he never played for the Arsenal first team; the closest he came was appearing on the bench for a Carling Cup match on November 9, 2005 against Reading, a match Arsenal won 3-1.
On March 9, 2006 Jordan was signed by Yeovil Town on a month's loan, as goalkeeping cover during an injury crisis. The loan was later extended to the end of the season, but at the end of it Yeovil declined to make the deal permanent and Jordan returned to Arsenal in May.[1] On June 30, 2006, Arsenal released Jordan on a free transfer.[2]
In July 2006, Jordan was invited for a week's trial at Chesterfield by manager, Roy McFarland.
Jordan has represented England at under-17 and under-19 levels.
