Michael Wayne Huff II (born March 6, 1983 in Irving, Texas) is currently a defensive back for the Oakland Raiders and played CB/S for the The University of Texas Longhorns.

Huff attended Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas and was a three-year letterman in football and a four-year letterman in track. In football, he played wide receiver, cornerback, and safety, led his team to the playoffs his freshmen and junior years. In track, he placed seventh at the USATF Junior Nationals and ran a personal best of 10.46 seconds on the 100 meter dash.

As a defensive back at Texas, Huff was selected in 2005 as First Team All American safety by the Associated Press and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nations best defensive back. In 2002, Huff earned a third-team Freshman All-American selection from the Sporting News. Huff had four career interceptions which have been returned for touchdowns, a school record. In the Rose Bowl game against USC, Huff recovered a fumbled lateral from Reggie Bush, a play that many credit with changing the momentum of the game and helping the 2005 Texas Longhorn football team win the NCAA National Championship. He also was the key defender that prevented LenDale White (USC-RB) from gaining the 1st down on a 4th and 2. Texas's Vince Young would later march down the field and score the touchdown, enabling Texas to win the national championship.

On the professional level, Huff has played the strong safety position. Prior to the 2006 NFL Draft he was ranked the ninth best prospect by Sports Illustrated. On April 29, 2006 he was drafted as the seventh overall pick by the Oakland Raiders. He was the third defensive player chosen after number one overall pick Mario Williams and number five overall pick A. J. Hawk.

For the 2006 season, Huff accumulated 78 total tackles (64 solo) with one pass defended and zero interceptions ^[1]. Huff's best game came in week 11 against rivals the Kansas City Chiefs. In the 17-13 loss, Huff totaled 10 tackles. Against Cincinnati in week 14, Huff got 8 tackles in another loss.
