[edit] Battlestar Galactica
In 2003, the cult series Battlestar Galactica was brought back to life, albeit in a reimagined form, as a four-hour miniseries. The project was written and produced by Ronald D. Moore, and directed by Michael Rymer. Michael Hogan starred as Saul Tigh, a Colonel in the Colonial Fleet and the Executive Officer (XO) of the Battlestar Galactica, in the reimagined Galactica. The miniseries effectively served as pilot for a potential TV series. A weekly series was then commissioned, in a collaborative effort between the American Sci-Fi Channel and Sky TV (the British broadcaster). Battlestar Galactica is filmed mostly in Vancouver, Canada, and has just finished its third season.
