Michael Harbison is the current Lord Mayor of Adelaide, South Australia. Before becoming Lord Mayor, he was a successful businessman and has been a councillor of city from 1998.

He has previously unsuccessfully run for higher political office as a member of State Parliament, defeated as a candidate for the seat of Adelaide by a former Lord Mayor, Jane Lomax-Smith.
