Michael Grant, 12th Baron de Longueuil

Michael Grant, 12th Baron de Longueuil (b. 1947), which is the only French colonial title recognised by the King or Queen of Canada. A medical practitiner by profession, he has interests in palliative medicine, working 13 years at Hayward House, his interest in pain control lead him to take a degree in clinical hypnosis. Since retiring from full time work he has started painting and has devoted himself to his father's work, exhibiting his paintings world wide. He lives in Nottingham. He assumed the title upon the death of his father Raymond Grant in Pau, France in 2004. Children: Angela (1974)a model and ballet dancer with her own dance school in London; Rachel (1976)an actress, with many roles in films and TV, an expert in martial arts, resident in Hollywood, CA.; Rebecca (1981) a professional dancer and actress appearing in theater,TV and films , including Shakespear; and David Alexander (1984) a professional geological engineer and sportsman, he is an international ski instructor and mountaineer.
The Barons de Longueuil have not lived in Canada for several generations, having been living in Scotland and France. However, they still own the baronial manor in Canada, although its size has been greatly reduced over the centuries.
