Michael Ferrante (born April 28, 1981) is an Australian football (soccer) player who until recently played as an attacking midfielder for the Melbourne Victory in the Hyundai A-League.
He came through the ranks at the Australian Institute of Sport and from there he moved on to the youth team at West Ham starring in a 9-0 aggregate FA Youth Cup Final triumph in which he captained in one of the games, the youth side included World Stars like Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand.
He also had a spell in Italy with Serie C side Benevento Calcio before returning to be part of the Melbourne's inaugural A-League squad for season 2005/06. In the inaugural season he featured in all of Melbourne Victory' 21 league games, although with the signings of Fred and Grant Brebner he was frozen out of the squad for the second season and struggled to make appearances.
He was released from his contract by mutual consent on the 22nd of February, 2007.
