Michael Corris

Michael Corris is a Conceptual artist, art historian and writer on conceptual art. He has edited a collection of new essays on Conceptual art ("Conceptual Art: Theory, Myth and Practice", Cambridge University Press, 2004) and a monograph on Ad Reinhardt ("Ad Reinhardt", Reaktion Books, London, forthcoming 2006). His art criticism appears regularly in "Art Monthly" (London).

In the 1970s, he was a member of the conceptual art group Art & Language, based out of New York. He currently holds a Personal Chair in Research and is Head of Art and Photography at Newport School of Art, Media and Design, University of Wales, Newport.
