Michael Combs

(born 1970) a contemporary artist sculptor based in New York City and Greenport, NY. A fifth generation Combs, the family settled on Long Island, New York, in the late 1640s, and survived off the bay as fishermen, boat-builders, market-gunners, rumrunners and decoy makers. Michael Combs began carving decoys as a boy, and went on to receive an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
