Elliot Goldenthal's score for Michael Collins, nominated for and Academy Award for "Best Original Dramatic Score", is at once sweeping and epic and, as with previous collaberations with Neil Jordan, fits the film comfortably.
Sinead O'Connor and the late Irish tenor Frank Patterson both contributed to the soundtrack.
