Michael Clark (b. July 10, 1973, Columbus, Ohio) is a professional boxer. He has twice won the IBC lightweight title. He has also held the NABF lightweight title, and been a challenger for the WBO title.
A product of a single-parent household, growing in Columbus, Ohio, Clark began boxing at age 7, and quickly became a force to be reckoned with in the amateur ring. His boxing coach, Matthew Voltolini, adopted him as a son at age 12, and by 19, he had turned professional, putting together a 24-0 record in 6 years until his first loss came to Artur Grigorian in a WBO lightweight title match.
On the ESPN reality show Contender Season 2, Clark volunteered to be the captain of the Gold Team. He also volunteered to be the first member of his team to box in the tournament, and found himself in a match against Cornelius Bundrage. In a tightly-fought battle for four rounds, the two found themselves practically tied on points, but Bundrage won the fifth round on 2 of the 3 judge's scorecards, and won a majority decision (2 judges said Bundrage won, 1 said it was a draw).
