Michael Ballam

Dr. Michael Ballam is the general director of the Utah Festival Opera and a professor of music at Utah State University. He was the youngest person to receive a doctor of music degree with distinction from Indiana University at age 24.

Ballam is frequently invited to lecture on the interaction between music and the doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which he has been a life-long member. He has also worked as an actor for the church.
