Michael Angelis

Michael Angelis (born January 18, 1952 in Liverpool, England) is a British actor.

Angelis is best known for narrating the British Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends series from 1991 onwards. He narrated six American Thomas episodes in 2004, after the previous narrator Alec Baldwin left, but was soon replaced by Michael Brandon.

Michael was also one of the stars of the famous 1982 BBC drama serial Boys from the Blackstuff and its comedies such as Luv and The Liver Birds in which he appeared from seasons 5-9. He read John Peel's autobiography Margrave of the Marshes on BBC Radio 4 in 2005.

He has been the longtime companion of actress Helen Worth, whom he later married.

In 2006 Michael starred in the movie Fated, set in his home town of Liverpool.

In 2007, he starred in an episode of Midsomer Murders.
