[edit] Deep sky images

Hello. I see you have uploaded quite a lot of deep sky images, thanks for that! What concerns me is that you tagged them with the NASA PD license, but many of the images have been taken by ground based telescopes which makes me suspect they're not NASA images after all. Unfortunately, you haven't included the source for these images. Please fix this (or give me the source) so the issue can be resolved.--Jyril 12:54, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi Jyril, I got those other images from http://archive.stsci.edu/ which are linked in the astronomy program kstars that I used to gather deep space information. I found the following data use policy:

http://archive.stsci.edu/data_use.html

Others are from http://archive.noao.edu/ with these conditions of use: http://archive.noao.edu/nsa/condOfUse.html

Does this mean I have to delete some of the pictures? -- Mguppy 23:33, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:NGC1850.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:NGC1850.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
