MG Cricket
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
MG Cricket is a cricket equipment supplier, best known for their Mark 1 bats. The company was created in March 2006 by St. John's Wood guitarist, Mark Green, and is expected to launch its website later this year. No county players have signed up to wear MG gear, however Tom Snee (who is lead singer in the band) will be the first to use the Mark 1 during the Southern 2006 season.
The "Mark 2" is expected to be released in late summer, and MG are in talks with several international players about sponsorship. The bat will hopefully be used during England's 2006/7 Ashes Tour of Australia, while several sub-continental players have expressed an interest, attracted by MG's promise of "low middle, big proflie yet light pick-up"
