The MG 7 is a sports saloon built by MG. Production started in early 2007.[1] It is the successor to the MG ZT, which was produced by MG Rover from 2001 until the firm went bankrupt in April 2005. Nanjing Automobile bought MG Rover's assets in July 2005, and restarted production some 18 months later.

The MG 7 and MG 7T, a successor to the MG ZT-T, are currently being made exclusively in China, though some production is likely to take place at the Longbridge.

Engines and specification for the MG 7 and MG 7T are identical to that of the pre-2005 MG ZT[citation needed], ranging from a 1.8 four-cylinder unit to a 2.5 V6, and marketed as an alternative to the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and other such saloons.
