Mexican plateau

The Mexican Plateau is in Mexico and is a rugged tableland that covers much of north-central Mexico. It has an average elevation of 6000 feet generally increasing in altitude from north to south. The plateau lies between two mountain ranges--Sierra Madre Oriental on the east and Sierra Madre Occidental to the west.
