The Mexican First Division Clausura 2007 (Primera División de México) is a Mexican football tournament - one of two short tournaments that take up the entire year - to determine the champion(s) of Mexican football. It began on Friday, January 19th, 2007, and will run until April 29th, when the regular season will end. UAG Tecos and UANL Tigres inaugurated the season with a match in which Tecos won 2-1. Reigning champions Chivas de Guadalajara will defend their title and are looking to become only the second side ever to win two short tournaments in a row, following in the footsteps of UNAM who won the 2004 Clausura and Apertura tournaments.
