Talk:Metro Transit Police Department
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Disambiguation
There are several different law enforcement agencies/units that are known by the name "Metro Transit Police," for example, an agency in Houston, Texas, and a unit of the King County Sheriff's Department in Washington State. Therefore, I think this page should be moved to Metro Transit Police (WMATA), and then Metro Transit Police itself should be changed to a disambiguation page. 69.140.157.138 15:04, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- Until there are articles for these other transit police departments, we might as well leave well enough alone. SchuminWeb (Talk) 04:15, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Possible copyright violation
Also, I think that some of the wording of this article may be copied from the WMATA official website, and I am not sure whether WMATA has granted permission or not. 69.140.157.138 15:04, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- Could you provide me with specific instances of where the wording in the article is lifted directly from the page in question? SchuminWeb (Talk) 04:15, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jursidiction
From the MTPD web page: "The Metro Transit Police Department is the only tri-jurisdictional police agency in the country." link On that basis I am reverting the deletion of text related to that issue --Brian H 16:28, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
