Metropolitan Park (Athens)

Metropolitan Park as it has been named, will be a large urban park located in Hellinikon, near Athens, Greece. It will be approximately 530 hectares spanning the site of the former Hellinikon Airport[1]. Many will consider this to be the larges park in Europe when completed. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2007 or early 2008 and be completed by 2013. [2]
