metronom Eisenbahngesellschaft mbH is a train operating company in Germany. The company's headquarters are located at Uelzen. The company operates several train routes in the federal states of Lower Saxony, Hamburg and Bremen and is also jointly owned by these states.

The company was founded in February 2002 using the name MetroRail. It is owned by three companies; these companies are mainly owned by the three federal states involved in the project. Ownership is divided between the NiedersachsenBahn GmbH (69,9 %), Hamburger Hochbahn AG (25,1 %) and Bremer Straßenbahn AG (5,0 %). The NiedersachsenBahn GmbH itself operates as a holding and is owned by the Osthannoverschen Eisenbahnen AG (OHE) (60 %) (located in Celle) and the Eisenbahnen und Verkehrsbetriebe Elbe-Weser GmbH (40 %) (from Zeven).
