Metro Zapata is a metro station on the Mexico City Metro. It is located in the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City, at the intersection of Eje 7 Sur Felix Cuevas and Universidad Av.
The station logo depicts Emiliano Zapata, a national hero from the Mexican Revolution of 1910. This station used to be the terminus of Line 3; while the line has since been extended south, it still plays an important role in the transportation of the city's inhabitants. Above the station is a microbus base, recently rebuilt, which serves zones in the city such as Barranca del Muerto, Mixcoac, Olivar and many other neighbourhoods.
Metro Zapata also transfers to trolleybus Line "D", which runs between Metro Mixcoac (Line 7) and San Andrés Tetepilco neighbourhood.
The station serves the Del Valle neighbourhood, and it is a common stop for those heading towards several government offices lying at Insurgentes Avenue, which is no more than 10 blocks away.
