Metro Academic and Classical High School

Metro Academic and Classical School is a high school in St. Louis, Missouri. The principal is Wilfred Doug Moore.

A member of the St. Louis Public Schools, it serves about 300 students from 9th to 12th grade. In 2006, it was placed 40th on Newsweek's Top 1200 High Schools list. In 2005, it ranked 48th. In 2004, Metro was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School. This school is a part of the IB program. On November 2nd, 2006, Metro students won first, second, and third prize in the National Vocabulary Competition. 100% of Metro's students get accepted to and go immediately into college. Metro's girls basketball team won first place in their division at the state championships in 2006 and were runners-up in 2004 and 2005.
