Metallica Resources (TSX: MR and NYSE: MRB) is a Canadian based mineral and gold mining company.

The company's web site states that:

Metallica Resources is a publicly held Canadian mineral exploration and development company with a geographic focus in the Americas. The Company has recently increased its ownership interest in a gold project in Mexico to 100% and is actively pursuing its development. In addition, the Company has a significant copper-gold project in Chile. Metallica's corporate goal is to build shareholder value through growth of its existing assets and pursuit of quality investment opportunities.
