The Mesa Miners are a defunct Golden Baseball League team that was based in Mesa, Arizona. They played their home games at the HoHoKam Park.
In its one year of play, the team won the first ever GBL Arizona Division title and played in the Championship Game against the San Diego Surf Dawgs. Unfortunately, Mesa Miners had the league's worst overall attendance and was dropped from the Golden Baseball League in November 2005 [1]. This was largely due to the fact that many of their home games were played in the scorching afternoon heat of central Arizona. The team's roster and coaching staff was carried over to the league's new Reno Silver Sox team.
