I'm editing wikipedia to learn more about the philosophy of religion. I was born in a religious family, and was myself deeply religious for about twenty years until I gradually came to "see the truth". The reason it took so long, is that I had been brought up to pray for God to help me overcome my doubts. So when I read something like Why I Am Not a Christian, I would intellectually understand the criticism, but I was convinced that critic was too blinded by their worldly knowledge to see the spiritual truth that I had the privilege of knowing.
