To insert this template as displayed above, simply type: {{mergelist}}

To specify a category for the proposed merge, add it as a parameter. For example, {{mergelist|Category name}} would generate the following:

It has been suggested that this list be merged into a category entitled Category:New article. (Discuss)

This template will add tagged articles to Category:Lists that should be categories.

This template employs intricate features of template syntax.
