[edit] Mixed Tape artists on Wikipedia
I went through the track listings for the mixed tapes, and searched in Wikipedia for the artists, this is what I came up with (I might have missed some, but almost all should be here):
- Mixed tape 1: Danny Breaks
- Mixed tape 3: Mocky, Jamie Lidell, Inga Luhning, Gabriella Anders (mentioned in The Porter)
- Mixed tape 4: Sébastien Tellier, Audiotreats (mentioned in Schritt Für Schritt), The Dalles
- Mixed tape 5: Random
- Mixed tape 6: Maximilian Hecker, Jahcoozi
- Mixed tape 7: Micatone (mentioned in Drum Connection, Sonar Kollektiv and Seiji), 7 Samurai, Electric Brother
- Mixed tape 8: Roy Ayers
- Mixed tape 9: Alice Russell
- Mixed tape 10: Fat Freddy's Drop
- Mixed tape 16: 4hero
Still have to see if I can figure out some way to check if it's the right artists. For instance, I don't think the Random on Mixed Tape 5, and the Random here on Wikipedia aren't the same. And I'm not really sure how to fit this information in the article. --Lijnema 11:38, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[re:jazz] (they have square brackets around the name) might qualify for their own Wikipedia page as well. --Lijnema 13:42, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tracklistings
So! Do we want tracklisting for every single Mixed Tape? Or limit things to description of the contents of the tapes and a few examples of artists? --Lijnema 23:30, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- I would support putting all the tracklistings somewhere on Wikipedia. Afterall... it is an encyclopedia online - it should contain all information. =D —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Extherium (talk • contribs) 07:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC).
The problem is that you'd get a really, really, really big list, and I wonder if it's really interesting. I might see merit in expanding a small section of notable artists appearing on the MB mixed tapes, but a full tracklisting seems overkill. --Lijnema 16:06, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
