Merton parks and open spaces

The London Borough of Merton is an outer London borough in the south west of the conurbation. Merton's parks and open spaces range in size from Mitcham Common and a major part of Wimbledon Common to the smaller gardens, sports grounds and recreation grounds within its boundaries. The major areas of public open space in the Borough are:
- Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon: 35 acres (13.95 ha)
- Cannon Hill Common, Morden: 54 acres (21.45 ha): nature reserve, maintained by London Wildlife Trust
- Figges Marsh, Mitcham: 25 acres (10.12 ha)
- Joseph Hood Recreation Ground, Morden: 21 acres (8.50 ha)
- King George's Playing Field, Morden: 20 acres (8.09 ha)
- Mitcham Common: 460 acres (182 ha)
- Morden Park: 124 acres (49.78 ha)
- Morden Hall Park: National Trust property
- Morden Recreation Ground: 26 acres (10.40 ha)
- Ravensbury Park, Mitcham: 23 acres (9.11 ha)
- Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Field, Motspur Park: 32 acres (12.75 ha), includes nature conservation area

- Wimbledon Park: 65 acres (26.22 ha)
