Merlin Airways

Merlin Airways is an airline based in San Antonio, Texas, USA. It operates freight services under contract to Airborne, DHL, FedEx and UPS, as well as passenger services under a wet lease arrangement. Its main base is San Antonio International Airport, with hubs at Miami International Airport and at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, San Juan, Puerto Rico.[1]

The airline was established in 1983 and operated as a cargo carrier until June 1995. It was then found fit by the United States Department of Transportation to conduct commuter operations and now supports the hub and spoke operations of other larger airlines. It was formerly known as Merlin Express. It is owned by Fairchild Aircraft Service.[1]
